Richard B. Cheney a distinguished public servant and businessman is the vice president of the United States. Cheney a familiar face in the Washington political scene and has been under various U.S. presidents George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush. He will serve as the fourth and as the elected president. Bush chose Cheney during the summer of 2000 as his vice-presidential running mate, commenting on Cheney's wisdom and judgment. Dick Cheney was a chief of Staff to Presidents, served on the United States Congress as Secretary of Defense, and served the nation in various roles. He is a man with integrity, who has the respect of both Republicans and Democrats. Cheney said he views his job as a trustworthy yet discreet advisor to the Bush administration. Cheney was the first to accept the Republican Vice-Presidential nomination in 2007, stated that the he would be looking forward to serving under a president that can work across political lines and work with political rivals by fostering goodwill and working towards a common objective. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941, at Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old, Bruce and his family moved to Casper (in Wyoming, the State of Wyoming) which is where his father was Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's soil conservation district.
